As a first-generation first male in my family to attending college and paving my siblings' way to follow is a blessing. Being accepted to play football at a university is a dream come true. My parents came to this country to seek a better life was a huge sacrifice for them. Having to learn new things with no education was a struggle. I understand how it is to struggle. I have four sisters and four brothers I know how to play as a team. I am self-driven, self-motivated, I am the ultimate team player. Among other volunteer activities, I help out my father in his construction jobs in my free time, and whoever needs help with construction, I am always ready to help. From operating the excavation machine to the bobcat, I learned how to manage this machinery at the age of thirteen because my father needed the help. I come from a hard-working family, and I understand that I will not accomplish my dreams if I don't work harder in life. My parents always tell me that if I work hard and do the right thing, I will be blessed, and I believe that. My faith in God always puts me on the straight and narrow path. Without him, I would not make it this far. I have a dream to play at the highest level of football someday. I have a passion for this game, and I always listen to my father talked about his high school days back on the island. He was the high school football team vice-captain, and how he would work hard, and they won the championship in 1980. He always tells me if he grew up here in America, he would be in the NFL now. That inspired me to dream big and work hard. I am very blessed to be in this country; the land of opportunity and the possibility is endless. I am aware being considered is an honor and a privilege.
