In his junior season, Zack played both Tight End and Wide Receiver.  As a sophomore, in his first appearance on Varsity he had three receptions and scored a 41 yard touchdown.  As a freshman, he started as a wide receiver on the junior varsity Football Team and was moved up to varsity as a receiver for the 2010 playoffs in which the team won the CIF Northern Division Championship.  On junior varsity Zack scored several touchdowns including a team leading 81 yard touchdown reception and also played safety.  He was selected to play for the West Team in the 2010 FBU Youth All-American Bowl. The game was played at The Alamo Dome in San Antonio, Texas and Zack played wide receiver and was named co-captain of his team.

Zack competes on the Oaks Christian Varsity Track Team and currently is one of the top Decathletes in the country. This score established a new California record for Juniors and was the second highest score in state history.   In March 2013, he competed at the New Balance Indoor National Championships in the Pentathlon.  At the meet, Zack won two of the five events, Shot Put and 1000 Meters.  In May 2012, Zack won the CIF Division 4 Championship in the Discus.  In July 2012, Zack earned All-American honors at the USATF Youth Nationals in Arlington, Texas in the Discus and Shot Put.  In April 2011 as a freshman, he completed his first Decathlon at the Arcadia Invitational two day event and was the only freshman in the competition which included the top Decathletes in the country.  At the 2011 USATF Junior Olympic National Championships in Wichita, Kansas, Zack won a bronze medal while competing with a hip injury scoring 6263 points.  Zack currently holds the Freshman and Junior record in California for the Decathlon.
