Zach Elgart '18 Recruiting Profile

Overall I am a hard working person both athletically and academically. I am the right person for your team because I am a leader. I am the guy that everyone gets hyped over because nobody expects anything from a 5'8 Nose Tackle who is only 165 pounds. A kid that seems like, based on his size and weight, couldn't do anything. When that kid does something great and is working hard... it's time for the team to support him... it's time to get excited. 

In the classroom I strive for straight A's just as any high school student would. As of now I have a 3.8 GPA and am trying to bring it up more before the semester is through. I am currently enrolled in 3 honors classes at Saint Andrew's School and doing well in them. I would like to be a part of the International Baccalaureate program next year and finish my high school career with this program.

On the field I play my heart out. Every drill, every play, every day I try my hardest to get better. I love playing football and having the chance to play with my friends is amazing. In the games i may not be the biggest guy on the field but I know my moves on the D-Line. On the field I am the guy running to the ball carrier trying to catch him at all costs. When my teammates are feeling down I'm always there to pick them up and get them excited for the next play.
