When I decided to attend IMG Academy, the idea of leaving my family behind was frightening. For the first time in my life I was stepping out of my comfort zone. Little did I know that the experience would shape me into a completely new and improved individual, whilst still paving the way towards achieving my goals of playing collegiate football. Living outside of home has created an immense sense of responsibility within me, unquestionably.
I believe that this experience sets me up as a strong recruit both on and off the field. Everyday, I get to compete with the best athletes in America; often finding myself having to block an all-american when participating in a punt drill. Furthermore, off the field I have learnt valuable skills that are usually not acquired at a high school level. These consisting of proper time management, self-awareness, independence, and most importantly mental maturity. Additionally, I am extremely committed to academic excellence. I find great passion in learning and, consequently, I always push myself towards becoming a more knowledgeable individual.
I take great pride in the man, student, and athlete that I have become. Regardless of the school I attend, I believe that my presence will not only contribute greatly towards the team from a competition standpoint, but also towards the school's community and program.
