DANIEL JONES '19 Recruiting Profile

My love for football first began when I was about 4, when I saw my brother run the ball for his high school team.  Seeing how he would cut, make people miss, and make big plays when it looked as if he should have lost yards is what inspired me to become the best athlete I can possibly be.

I was an integral part of an undefeated season in middle school. This season meant a lot to me not because we went undefeated, but because of how I had to fight for my starting position and prove I was the guy for the job. The following JV season, I was named the MVP and helped to lead the team with 13 TDs in only 6 games, in addition to 1 varsity TD.  I am a versatile athlete playing Running Back, Slot, and Corner, doing whatever is needed of me to help the team. I believe that I will be a great asset to whomever I play for and intend be an impact player from day one.

Since the first game that I played, I knew that I wanted to play in college at the highest level possible.  I am open to all opportunities that I am blessed to receive, and currently look to major in Biomedicine with a minor in Communications.

Being raised in a Christian family, I trust in my heavenly Father and know that He has a great plan for me; however, my mother instilled in me that “faith without works is dead.”  This means that even if I pray day and night for the Lord to help me become the best I can be, I know that I have to put in the work to get results. This is one thing that pushes me everyday.  I apply this by always giving 110%, making sure that I am ready and consistently trying to be the best man on the field.  I do this by putting in extra time with a personal trainer, Premier Athletes, and currently Gold Feet Global in order to improve my craft.

Off the field, I am l am seen as a leader in my class. I have received the highest leadership award, chosen by my peers and administration. I was also selectively chosen to be a student leader for an international missions trip.
