It has been my dream for several years now to play football at the collegiate level and I have been working extremely hard year around for the past three plus years toward this goal. I understand that grades, leadership skills and character are important to any college coaching staff that would consider offering me a scholarship and I am dedicated to being the best person I can be in all phases of my life. Playing quarterback for a divison 1 football program is very realistic to me, and I'm very comfortable with the pressure that comes with playing QB at a high level against good competition. I have performed my best in some of the most difficult and pressure filled situations, and I play against D1 talent regularly. I have been blessed with the God given physical and mental talents to play quarterback, so I consider it my duty to put the work in that is required to make my dream a reality. It is up to me to be a great quarterback and that is how I like it. I recently completed my sophmore season at Bishop Verot Catholic High School in Ft. Myers, Florida. We played in Class 6A against mostly much larger schools and finished with a disappointing 1-9 overall record. This was my first year as full time starter after starting part time as a freshman. In our 3rd regular season game against Naples, I suffered a concussion on a late hit that knocked me out for 4 games. I only played in a total of 7 games this season including a preseason scrimmage and my stats reflect this. I did manage to throw for 1,000 yards and 6 TD's during the regular season however. I have included a highlight film of my sophmore season in my profile and I hope you take the time to watch it. My arm strength, accuracy and pocket presence are my greatest attributes as you will see in my highlight video. To earn a chance to get a college education playing football and to help my teammates win games and improve as a team and individually is what I am focused on today. We had a challenging season with a lot of injuries and I know my teammates will rely on me to lead them to a better season next year. I know what I am capable of and I will be working very hard all year to prepare for next season. I plan to attend at least two quarterback camps during the summer and I will be playing 7 on 7 with my teammates and with a local all star club also. I also intend to add another 15-20 pounds by next season and continue working on my speed, agility and throwing mechanics throughout the year. I am taking the approach that I am ultimately preparing myself for a college football career. Sincerely, Quinn Farrell Bishop Verot High School-Class of 2015
