My aspirations are to get a college degree, although I am undecided. While doing so I would like to play football at the college level. I have maintained a 3.46 GPA throughout high school, while enrolled in accelerated classes through The Cambridge Program. I took Cambridge classes through my Freshman to Junior years. In addition to playing football for four years, I also played soccer, and was on the track and field team. Up until my senior year of playing football I did not get much playing time. This was due to a Growth Hormone Deficiency that caused me to stop growing for a couple of years. When this was discovered 2 years ago, I started taking Growth Hormone injections. Since then, I went from 5’4" 100 pounds to 5’11" 160 pounds. Currently my growth plates show that I am 16, which means I still have a few more years to grow and develop. Not getting a lot of playing time early on might have discouraged some. However, I was dedicated, and I was able to overcome adversity. After finally getting the opportunity for more playing time I led my team in receptions and receiving yards. I had 30 receptions for 407 yards and 3 touchdowns. I think I possess a lot of traits that a college team is looking for such as: a hard worker, being dedicated, and a good teammate.
