I aspire to obtain a great college education while participating in collegiate football. This year as a junior I had a stellar season. I played both Left guard and right guard. We were undefeated until State Champiionship where we lost by two points and came in second place at division 8A in Florida. I started in the semi final game and although I had the flu and fever I also played in the state Final game. This last semester I got a 3.3 GPA increasing my cumulative GPA. Next year I am in line to start as left Guard. Now that footbal is over I am conditioning 5-6 times per week and throwing the Shot Put for our track team. I have been fortunate to play multiple sports in high school thus far. I was the starting lacrosse goalie for the past two years, and this past year also wrestled. Although I was asked to once again play lacrosse, I will concentrate on football and shot put in order to escalate my body strength not necessary in lacrosse. I am grateful for my time as goalie because it has given me good footwork, quick reaction time and as the “quarterback” of the lacrosse team the sport gave me great field vision.
I presently attend Christopher Columbus HS in Miami, Fl. It is the largest all boys school in Florida. It is also the only private school in the state of Florida to compete in the 8A level, thus we play with very competitive top teams. This year we were 14-1. Given the large pool of stellar athletes at this school, I have had to work hard for my position in all sports. As a dyslexic I have also worked hard to overcome many academic hurtles and am proud of my accomplishments both in the classroom and on the field so far. I look forward to really going hard this year in the class and on the field.
am looking for a platform where I can use my leadership and social skills to bring the team together and rally round our cause. As lacrosse goalie those skills have served me well and I hope to contribute to a positive attitude to my future college.
