From the time that I started to play sports to now I have learned many lessons about teamwork, sportsmanship, and perseverance. Throughout my life I have played three different sports; Basketball, Football, Track and field and recently Wrestling. In each I have had to adapt to their conditions in which I have done quickly. In eighth grade I set a record for shotput. In the same year I was invited to play on my school’s team, playing on both sides of the ball. Entering high school, I continued to start on the jv team while being scouted for varsity.
Although starting 10th grade the year was not great to start out. For half the year I was at varsity, but I did not work hard enough to start or even play. One day I was thrown off the team. I wanted to quit but I was quickly given another opportunity. I started working hard and finally proved myself during a game and received the opportunity to start as a nose guard for the rest of the year.
I strive to be like my parents and hope to amount to them one day. Not only money wise but responsibly. I take on responsibilities on the field, at school, and at home. I take multiple honors classes and an AP and with my work I earned a 3.1 unweighted GPA. I adapt quickly and learn even faster with help. In the future I hope to work on myself so that I can be more responsible for myself and others.
