I started out as a QB during the pandemic. I made it to the QB1 spot on the JV team my Freshman year. The season was cut because of COVID. I made the Varsity Swim Team & Varsity Water Polo teams. My house was rezoned and I was sent to a brand new high school. The coach already had his QB. I have never thrown a single ball for him. I adjusted. I am big, so they tried me on the DL. I went from a 2nd string JV player to a varsity starter by spring.
I have taken advantage of personal training and coaching when possible and have learned more every summer by attending camps.
Coaches say: I am coachable. They tell me what to do, & I do it. They tell me what to change; I am able to understand and do it right the next time. I listen. I care. My coaches would agree that I have demonstrated good character on and off of the field. I don't lose control of my emotions and I always do my best. I am reliable. I am a tough competitor. Today the OL coach said,"That's why I always pick Teddy to go against my guys. I need to know if the play will work, and I know he will go 100% and really give it to them."
Teammates say: I don't quit. I always go hard, even at practice. I do my best when we play the hardest teams, and I am up against the biggest competitors. They NEVER want to go against me in Board Drills. Recently a teammate said,"We could have an easy day today except Teddy will be there and he won't go for that."
Teachers say : Teddy is kind and respectful. I follow directions and help others when I can. My teacher told my mom,"I love having Teddy in my class. He is one of the best students in my class. I always use him as an example of what to do."
Every piece of me wants to keep playing football.
