Personal Statement
My name is Robert Campbell, but everyone calls me Bobby. I am currently a Junior and play varsity starting guard for my high school. We have just come off of a very successful season, placing first in our region. I was named OL of the year for regio 6AAA in northwest Georgia. I was recognized as a leader for the past 3 years by my peers. My Coach stated that this was the first time he had given any kind of leadership award to a freshman.
I've played football since I was eight years old and have loved every minute of it. I've always played on the OL or DL and love to tackle! I am 17years old, 6'2” tall and 300 lbs. I can bench 370pounds and run a 5.38 40.
When I started football, I started watching college games and knew that's where I wanted to be someday, eventually playing for the NFL. I've always been an A and B student, but this year have really studied because I knew that I wanted to play college ball. my first semester of high school I have all A’s and one B which gave me 3.75 grade point average with all Honors classes. I really aspire to be a college superstar, both on and off of the field.
Ever since finding football at 8 years old, I've had some amazing coaches that have helped and encouraged me along the way. I won the Defensive Player of the Year award when I was 8, with 42 tackles and 6 sacks. I just thought it was fun. At age 10, I received the end of year MVP award. It was the first and only time they have given it to a lineman. I played both offense and defense. During my 11-12 year season, I helped my team win the Georgia State Championship!
I don't know what I want to major in yet in college, but I like working with my hands. I plan on working very hard to play my best football game and keep my grades at A's. My parents support what I want to do completely and I am blessed to have such a wonderful family.
Currently I have 2 offers to play D1 college football and am looking forward to what my senior year brings.
