Understanding the sacrifice both of my parents have made for me to be successful has shaped me into the young man i am today. Whether it was taking me to 6AM practices or even picking up extra work to cover the cost for football, my parents have set a great example for me. I was introduced to the game of football by my father and fell in love with it instantly. My childhood revolved around sports, and football was at the forefront. Through the years football had taught me many lessons. Football has taught me when you take losses or get knocked down, getting up is mandatory. Football has enhanced my work ethic, and i’m a firm believer in that you get out what you put in.
Along with the sacrifices, my parents put an emphasis on academics. I have always been a good student, and throughout high school i developed my time managing skills. My personal academic goal for my senior year is to get all A’s which i haven’t done since middle school. After high school i plan on attending a college with a broadcast journalism program.
Football has always come natural to me since 8 years old. I posses speed, agile foot movement, high level ball skills, a good reaction time, and i’m not afraid to hit. However, what separates me from my contemporaries is my drive to prove people wrong. If i’m told i can’t do something or i’m not good enough. I’m going to put in the work to prove them wrong. What i can bring to a program is commitment, diligence on and off the field, and leadership.
