Personal Statement
My name is Nicholas Benton I'm from covington ga. Ive been a 3 sport athlete since I was middle school. My proudest moment would be competing for team USA in the World Karate Championship, bringing home 2 silver medals. Ive competed as a fighter in Karate 7 years becoming a black belt in just 5 years. Karate has taught me toughness and discipline. I have pushed my self to the limits to be the best. My accomplishments in Karate have made me successful in the class room and on the football field. As I prepare for the next journey in my life I am excited and determined to push my limits and become a successful student athlete. When I was 12 years old I lost a special person in my life, my grandmother. I watched her fight cancer with a smile everyday. The strength she showed can never be matched. I could say she is my number one fan. She loved to see me compete in any sport, especially football. She would say I could be anything if I put my mind to it. I made a promise to my grandmother that I would make it to the next level. My goal for is to make my Nanny proud and push my limits to be successful as a student athlete and in life.
