My name is Tristan Robinson, and I am a soon to be 9th grader Hiram High School in Hiram, Ga. I currently play center and defensive tackle, but I have been training hard to transition into a running back and linebacker role, where I believe my skills and athleticism can contribute even more to a team at the collegiate level.
I have been dedicated to football for almost 10 years, and during this time, I have developed a deep understanding of the game, particularly in the trenches as an offensive and defensive lineman. Playing center has strengthened my football IQ, as I am responsible for making crucial reads and adjustments pre-snap. On the defensive side, my experience at tackle has given me an aggressive edge, along with the ability to shed blocks and disrupt plays. However, my passion and work ethic have driven me to expand my versatility as a player. Whilst maintaining football and academics, I’ve decided to endure another challenge such as basketball. With the hopes that it’ll help me condition some more before the up season. Over the past 4 months, I have been training intensely to transition into a running back and linebacker role. My speed, footwork, and agility have significantly improved, and I have been working with my personal coach on vision, ball security, and tackling technique. I believe my background in the trenches gives me a unique advantage, as I understand blocking schemes, leverage, and gap responsibilities from both perspectives.
