My Personal Statement

Hello, my name is Joshua Neagley and I've been playing football since 2004. My first day on the on the field began my infatuation with the game, since then I've had the desire to strive for the collegiate level. I know that the opportunities to achieve this are few, so I have worked diligently to increase my potential by maintaining an above average GPA. I also workout on my own time to build strength and stamina as you cannot rely on just the coaching staff to make you better. It has to come from within....

To have the opportunity to play at the collegiate level is a once in a lifetime opportunity. Not only is it being a member of a structured athletic organization that will build my character, it will also provide myself the means to develop as an individual in a strong and diverse team atmosphere. It will provide the foundation for becoming a better leader and mentor to my peers. I believe myself to be a person of solid morals and very coachable, a person who will listen to the instructions of the staff and work hard to obtain those results desired.

I've been involved with the 4H organization which has taught me how to work on reaching my fullest potential. I've been active in my community through our church's outreach activities. All this has been a driving force to be something better by attending college. Where this drive to succeed will only continue as I must not only push myself to succeed on the field, but off the field in the classroom to reach my full potential.
