Nick Iannone '18 Recruiting Profile

~~I am a 6'0" 190 lb. quarterback from Savannah, GA.  I am an extremely driven and competitive player that is confident in my abilities to lead a team to victories.  My work ethic on and off the field gives me the confidence to believe I will help any program be successful and that I will be an important asset in that success.  I am just looking for the opportunity to prove my value.  I currently have two D-1 offers and a D-II offer.

As a sophomore at Benedictine Military School (2014 2-AA Georgia State Champions) I earned the starting quarterback job for the varsity team.  In my first season as starting quarterback for the Benedictine Cadets, we finished 12-1 and advanced to the quarterfinals of the state playoffs.

As a junior I led my team to the Class AA state championship and the first undefeated (15-0) season in Benedictines 100+ year history of football.  Our team finished ranked #4 in the nation for small schools (under 1,000 students).  I have received numerous post season accolades including Region 2AA Offensive Player of the year, 2016 All Area Savannah First team QB (all school sizes) and Class AA All-State Second Team.  Subsequently, I have been invited to the Nike Opening Camp and the Under Armour All-American Camp in spring of 2017.

As a senior we finished 12-1 and again advanced to the state quarterfinals.  My career record is 39-2 as a starting quarterback and I have thrown for 5,280 yards, 58 tds and a 62% completion percentage and only 16 interceptions.  I have also been awarded Region 2-AAn player of the year, Savannah Morning News Best of Preps Offensive Player of the Year for the surrounding 3 counties in SE Georgia

I am a tireless worker both on and off the field.  My current GPA is a 4.1/4.0.  As a three sport athlete I understand the importance of hard work and maintaining a disciplined schedule. I have maintained highest honors for all 7semesters while taking 7 AP courses and 10 Honors classes.

I am looking for an institution where I can find the right balance between the classroom and field. I am extremely competitive and have always demonstrated leadership skills.   Ideally, my athletic environment would be one where I could make an immediate impact on the team.  I prefer playing for any school where the academic and athletic opportunities provide the best alternative to develop both personally and professionally.
