Personal Statement
I am a 5'5 running back/quarterback/defensive back that is going into the 12th grade of Notre Dame Academy High School. I play multiple sports, mainly football but also soccer and track with experience in golf and basketball. Over the past few years, I have received an award for 'Team MVP' as well as 'Offensive MVP' in football, the 'Coaches Award' in soccer, and 'Top Point Scorer' in track. I also received the sportsmanship/student-athlete award for the 2014-2015 and 2015-2016 school years. Academically, I earned the St. Thomas Aquinas Award in my 6th grade year and was elected President of the National Junior Honor Society. I received High Honor Roll for all of my middle school years, finishing with a 4.0 GPA, I am not currently ranked in my class. I run a 4.6 40-yard dash and weigh 165lbs. My ultimate goal is to play football professionally, so playing in the collegiate level is definitely an interest of mine. I love to win as much as the next guy but improvement is what I value. If I have the same mindset, skills, or intelligence when I enter and finish a game, it may as well be a loss because I didn't improve as an athlete. Since I am currently in the off-season my goals as a running back are to further understand the position, recognize the job that I am responsible for on every play, and increase in size, strength and speed. Aside from my personal goals I also firmly believe in the idea that a team is as strong as it's weakest link. I strive to create a connection on and off the field with all players and coaches that help me in this journey and I look to help them in return in whatever way I can. School and academics are very important aspects of my life. They help me understand the world around me, although I strive to be a football player I also need to understand the economy, government and international relationships, as it is very important in today's world and will continue to be when it's my generation's responsibility.
