My dream would be to play football at a Division I school while earning a degree in one of my top two career choices. At this time, I have not made the final decision concerning my major; however, my top two choices would be to study Law or Civil Engineering.
My dad recently asked me, if you had to make the decision to attend a Division I school without the opportunity to play football OR attend a smaller college with the opportunity to play football, which would you choose? I have a strong desire to play football at the next level, whatever that looks like.
In my opinion, a good candidate brings many positive traits to the table. Athletically, my strong desire to succeed has always pushed me to levels I didn't know I could reach. My inner drive motivates me to work extremely hard in the weight room and on the field at all hours of the day. My commitment to myself, my coaches, and my teammates is what will make me a valuable candidate at the next level. Academically, I have excelled throughout my years in school never earning anything less that a "A" in any class. In addition to my athletic and academic achievements, I have a reputation for being stable emotionally both on and off the field. My parents, grandparents, and extended family have given me so much encouragement and support and I have enjoyed extending that same encouragement to my teammates. Anyone who is athletically driven, academically strong, and emotionally sound will be a good candidate for success.
