Throughout my life I've witnessed many people throw away their lives for something that didn't let them amount to be all they could have been. Many of these people hate their job, struggle with financially supporting their families, and live a life full of regrets of things they "should've, could've, and would've" done. Growing up, I got to see people I love in these types of unfortunate situations and that has encouraged me to live a life full of dreams, goals, and aspirations. I also am lucky enough to have parents who have taught me to live a life full of values which altogether helped to shape the dreams, goals, and aspirations I have today.
First of all, I value family. I love the family I have and I hope to one day have a family of my own. I see my parents work hard everyday to provide my siblings and I with all the things we have and I'd like to do the same. To do so I know I will have to continue my education after high school and pursue a Bachelor's degree in Physics. After college I hope I will have a shot at being drafted into the NFL; although, I know things don't always turn out as we once planned so if I don't end up in the NFL, hopefully I can get a job as an engineer.
I also value my education because I know my academic performance can either make or break my football experience in my junior and senior year of high school, and throughout all four years of college. Presently, my high school academic goal is to get straight A's throughout my last two years and get good ACT and/or SAT scores that will help me get into a good college with a great football program. Focusing on sports and academics and making those my top priority as a teenage boy in high school will not be easy, but I want to succeed in my football career badly enough that I believe I will be able to achieve my current academic goals.
So far I've done a pretty good job at focusing on my dreams, goals, and aspirations. I've taken honors classes and I've also been involved with student council to better my leadership and communication skills on the field. I will continue to work hard to meet my goals in hopes that one day my name will be well-known as a professional athlete.
