Personal Statement

My name is Noah Keauliikolomanu Mamoru Chang, I am a Junior at Punahou School. I've played football since I was in the third grade. I am 5'11", 225 pounds. I can offer strong work ethic, leadership, and unselfishness. One of the most memorable moments in my life was when my teammate, a senior, demonstrated leadership and brotherhood. During the last moments of the Hawaii State Football Championship game, he turned to me to let me know that he would be proud to have me take his place next year on the line, and that he knew I would do a great job. I was moved and emotional as this was his moment to enjoy and instead he thought of me. I have made a promise to be that kind of leader this season. Over several seasons I have improved and polished my offensive lineman technique. I know how to play center as well as guard. I'm knowledgeable in the game and comfortable learning various offensive plays. I'm also experienced in reading defenses well. I'm interested in attending a college that offers a football program. I'm undecided as to my major, but have taken classes in science, such as Medical Problem Solving at the University of Hawaii, John A. Burns Medical School and Marine Biology. My goal for the future is to be an integral member of a collegiate team and assist in any way I can.
