Kanaiela DeCoito '16 Recruiting Profile

Aloha, my name is Kanaiela DeCoito. I am a proud student athlete of Kamehameha Schools Hawaii. My collegiate goal is to  graduate form college with a degree in Physical Therapy and Athletic Training. I would one day like to use my education to work in my local community as a Physical Therapist, for those who are in need of my kokua (help). My dad always told me to never set my standards low, always keep them high and, keep reaching for it because one day it will all be worth it.  I believe I can reach my goals of becoming a great athlete and a hard working competitor. I am motivated to follow through in my goals in becoming not only an athletic trainer but a leader to the up an coming youth here in Hawaii. I might not be the quickest, strongest or tallest guy around, but I am a determined young man who strives for excellence.  I am open minded and willing to learn so much more in life.  Nothing comes easy and I know that with heart and the right mind-set I can and I will be a better student athlete.  Weather it be in the classroom or on the field I have all the support from my family and friends and that's what gives me the extra push. I  know that I am becoming a better man and continuing to reach the highest goals in my life.
