I have played football for as long as I can remember. It has taught me to become a leader, as well as that sacrificing yourself for your team is the most satisfying feeling as a high school student athlete. As a 3-year starter for the varsity, I have experienced the feeling of exhilaration as you overcome a larger opponent, as well as the trials of becoming better each game, as I have learned from my mistakes and improved upon them. Though I can appear undersized for my position, I make it up in heart and drive to better myself for my team. Currently, my Senior season has gotten off to an incredible start with a 4-0 record. My Junior Season (2015), our team went 9-2, top five in the State and I earned the Inland Empire League 1st Team Offensive Lineman and Punter.
This year I am starting on both sides of the ball, and every day is spent getting up at six in the morning to go watch film before school starts, then a three-hour practice after school. Not only am I learning to play left tackle on offense, but I'm also learning to be a hybrid defensive player who sometimes is a tackle, sometimes an end, and sometimes has flats coverage.
My goals for the future would be to not only play at the next level but also to grow and develop into a impact player come game time, while also furthering my education towards a degree in engineering. I have maintained my GPA of 4.0, take Honors and AP classes, and will be valedictorian of my senior class, as I was ranked 1 out of 370 at the end of my Junior year. I will do whatever it takes to succeed in and out of the classroom, as well as on the field for your prospective programs.
