Thank you for visiting my profile. My clean is 260lbs, that wasn't included in my profile so I thought it was needed here. I personally feel the need to play college football. I love the contact of the sport and personally take it as a challenge that the other team thinks they can out hit me in games. Football is definitely a passion of mine and I want to better myself in every way possible. I've been playing football since the first grade and have loved it ever since I first started. I've done travel league football, played at a private school that competed in the Chicago Catholic League, and now play at a public school.
As a freshman I worked my way up to playing outside linebacker for varsity sharing time towards the end of the season. My sophomore year I then transfered to a public school and played middle linebacker/weakside linebacker on JV until later in the season when I was pulled up to play strongside linebacker on varsity. Going into my junior year, I was moved to SS, which was a position I was very happy playing due to the fact I got to cream recievers and still be able to play heavy in box at times.
Senior year has come rolling around now and I currently play middle linebacker for our team which I would say is my favorite position so far. I think if I were to give any reason behind this thought it would be because I've always loved being a downhill player and playing middle linebacker not only gives me a chance to hit someone every play but also puts me in a position to lead my team. To me this is a huge advantage because my teammates can pick up on my energy I have in games and play with a higher intensity. Every down I am on a teammates helmets who made a play, trying to create energy, and fire for us to play with. To me in order to be successful in this sport it goes down to some basic ideals; communication, loyalty, player relationship, and coach relationship. I feel as if without proper coaching in the first place the team is already at a disadvantage with preparations, and that is obviously needed to compete in games. I also feel when you're on the field that you need to have the relationship with your teammates to not only be playing for yourself, but for them. A lot of the work to win these games also comes from yourself. By that I mean through the extra work you put in when no one is there and through time you spend watching film. I am 100% looking for a competitive school but my main focus is towards the coaching and the team.
I need to be apart of a team that has coaches and players who care just as much as I do. I am willing to compete on and off the field, academically and athletically. Playing football is an aspiration I'd love to follow and be able to have more time to enjoy. I am willing to dedicate any extra required time or do anything that would be useful in any attempt to better myself for college football.
