Update 11/27/14:  We (Cary-Grove)  13-0 and playing in the Illinois 7A State Championship.

Update 10/28/14:  We (Cary-Grove) finished the regular season with a 9-0 record and ranked #1 in class 7A.  Our defense was the best in Northern Illinois, giving up just 97 points.

Hello!  My name is Travis Myerson (2015) and I am excited about playing college football at the highest level.  I play OLB/SS for Cary-Grove High School in Northern Illinois.  Cary-Grove has a strong football tradition in class 6A/7A (record of 118-18 over the past 10 years).  I am a mature, but humble athlete, with strong family values.  I have been a member of the Cary-Grove varsity state playoff team ever since I was a high school freshman.

This season, I helped my team to the 7A State Championship game.   We had the best defense in the area and were one of the best in the state. I consider myself an “in the box” strong safety or outside linebacker.  I can cover a receiver down the field and stop the run to the outside.  I have been selected to the 2014 All-Conference, All-Area & Academic All-State Teams.  The Northwest Herald has also ranked me a top linebacker in the area.

When I am not on the field you can find me studying for class, working out or watching film on our next opponent. I have been on the academic honor roll every year and currently have a 3.7 GPA. I am interested in studying Business Management or Sports Administration.  My key stats have been verified at the University of Illinois Chicagoland Showcase, Elite 7, Nike Sparq Combine and by Coach Seaburg. Over the past several summers, I have coached youth football camps in my community and also helped coach the 2013 TCYFL All Star team (West).
