Personal Statement
Growing up I have never had anything given to me; I have always been taught to never settle and go after what I want and not to let it come to me. I remember when I was younger I watched a grueling national football game and told myself, "I would never ever play this sport." But that all changed the moment I picked up a football and started playing catch. I grew a liking for football so much I decided I would want to play youth football. I have never regretted the moment I had finally decided to play this sport, because over the years of playing football I have realized football is more than a sport; football matures people more than they realize. It gives many people like me a meaning and an opportunity to do something in life. Most importantly it has taught me how to set a good example for others on and off the field. Over time, I have learned that not everyone will be there for you when you need them, and life is independent. You have to strive for everything whilst keeping a positive mindset. So, I work myself daily to be better than yesterday to fulfill my dream of playing college football.
Ultimately, I want to graduate high school and make my parents who have sacrificed so much for me proud, and afterwards, finish all four years of college while, playing the sport I love at the collegiate level. My work ethic consists of a man who fights towards his goals, and never lets out on his aspirations, until they are achieved. I want to be a part of a program that aids their student-athletes to success, brings the best out of their student-athletes, and provides the most academic prosperity for their student-athletes. I know I have the characteristics, adeptness, and adroitness your program needs.
