Joshua Sander '22 Recruiting Profile

My name is Joshua  Sander. I am a 6’6” 320 lb football player. I am a junior  at Hinsdale South High School in Darien, Ill. I  currently play football and baseball but my focus and passion is football.  I played mostly baseball and hockey in my youth. The summer going into 8th grade I went to a private football camp and fell in love with football.  

During my Freshman and Sophomore year I was blessed to be a starter at left tackle on offense,  defensive end and was the long snapper.  I was brought up to Varsity my Freshman year for post season playoffs.  I strive to be a role model to my peers on and off the field. 

My high school team had no football this fall so I am continuing to work on improving my skills during this offseason. I have not taken for granted the  time given to me to get stronger and improve my game during the delay of Illinois football  this year due to COVID.   My main attributes are my strength, height, leadership qualities and a high football IQ.   

I have goals of continuing my education and athletic career at the collegiate level. My future life goal would be to pursue a career as an entrepreneur or in business. I want to be the leader and role model in life.    I always aim to better myself and those around me everyday whether on the field, at school, or in my community.

I am an honors student with a 3.68 weighted GPA.
