My name is Nick Demes, a 6'4" 260 offensive tackle from Lyons Township High School in La Grange, IL, and playing college football is my greatest goal. If you have taken the time to check out my profile, I hope that I will get a chance to play for you. The 2011 season was the first season I ever played offensive line, and I started all 12 games as we advanced to the 8A state quarterfinals. I ended the season weighing around 225 pounds, and now have gained 35 pounds of good weight in preparation for my senior year and college football. I am as hard a worker in the weight room as you will see, and I go all out at every workout to get better. At our last testing date, I put up 275 on bench, 405 on squat, and 285 on hang clean. Our schedule features matchups against perennial powerhouses, and one premier matchup I had in 2011 was against Ohio State recruit Tommy Schutt, where he lined up against me for most of the game and netted 0 tackles and 0 sacks, proving that I can compete with the best of athetes out there. My goal is to play college football at a very competitive level, and go to a school where academics are also a high priority. I earned a 35 on my ACT, am ranked in the top 1% of my high school class of 1000, and my academic curriculum is rigorous. My greatest passion in the world is football, and every day my actions are devoted towards getting bigger, better, stronger, and faster in order to compete at the highest level possible. If you have taken the time to read this, thank you, and I look forward to speaking to you soon.
