7th Grade PopWarn...
2019 Playoff Game...
PopWarner 14u Sta...My name is Jordan Kemp. At an early age, basketball was my favorite sport. I began playing at 6-years-old and no one couldn't have told me I wasn't going to be in the NBA or the next Derrick Rose. I could run fast and jump really high, so I was convinced. But, a few years later I was introduced to football, and I had a whole new love. After watching my first college football game, I immediately told my mom I wanted to play. I said, "God put me here to play football, Mom." But, she wasn't trying to hear it. She believed football was dangerous and that I needed time to physically develop. But, I wouldn't give up, I persisted. Football fascinated me and I knew I'd be great at it.... just needed to convince my Mom. In 5th grade, puberty started and I developed muscles, and by the time I was in 7th grade, my physical build and athleticism had made me a believer in my Mom. I began playing Pop Warner football on my local community team. I worked so hard and performed so well that no one believed it was my first year playing. I have continued that hard work. Like my Mom, I'm determined to make believers of everyone. As I move into high school football and beyond, I'm working for a shot to play against and with other top football athletes in the country while getting a great education. I am a young man of great character, always picking my teammates up and pushing them and myself to be the best. I bring maximum heart and I never give up; I believe that separates me from other recruits. I'm working hard every day in the classroom and on the field with hopes and dreams to attend a D1 football program. I want to make my family proud, and most importantly myself.
