My name is Vincent Anderson. I will be a senior this fall at Hononegah Community High School, and I have aspirations of playing competitive college football and earning an excellent college education culminating in a diploma, majoring in engineering with a construction and or management focus. Currently, my weighted GPA is 4.66, and I am ranked 12th academically out of 535 students, and have yet to find a class that I could not handle. I have never earned lower than a ‘B’ in any class as my parents expect as much as I do of myself; the best. I have taken every Advanced Placement or honors course available to me, and do not plan to relent on my schedule as my time left in high school dwindles. I have been drilled – and truly believe – that school comes first. My schedule for the school day starts with an early class, so that I get out of school early in order to audit jazz band as a class, in order to earn all my credits for graduation and include both a music class (albeit unofficially) and a strength and conditioning class.
6th grade was my first year of football and I started at safety. Since then, I have never looked back; my life revolves around the football season. Offseason workouts are never optional and the weight lifting has quickly become a favorite pastime. I am not a flashy player, meaning I do not believe myself superior to anybody solely on principle, but I believe that I can work hard and prove myself on the field. I have been included on special teams units, on the punt, kick, and kick return teams frequently. I started out the 2012 season as a third string outside linebacker but quickly earned a starting job once given the opportunity to perform. I am not afraid of fighting for playing time, and I will not be satisfied with anything less than my best on and off the field.
