Matthew Deniega '26 Recruiting Profile

My goal in playing on the next level is to not only be a leader and a great player, but one who people look up to. My coach once said, "Work hard to become that upper class man wants to be and to also be the lower class man the upper class man trusts to fulfill what he could not." I am willing to grind for whatever opportunity I am given. I am willing to run that extra mile, hit that extra rep, and spend more hours in the film room just so I can have a better grasp of the game. I am easily coachable and I always go over and above the given expectations of my coaches. You tell me to do it and I will not only fulfill your wishes but have you wonder, "How can I break this kid?" I also know the important factors outside of football are very important. Eating and fueling my body the correct way, getting enough sleep at night, and taking care of my academic studies are all important things to me. I am also a very adaptable and a determined team player with character who values integrity, honor, and excellence. If you have a brand new scheme that you run, you better bet I will be learning and analyzing that scheme until I can recite it to you.
