First Off, I want to thank you for taking the time to view my profile. My name is Daniel Harris and I am a senior from Willowbrook High School located in Villa Park, Illinois.
Football is not only my favorite sport it is my life.
This year as the defensive captain, and middle linebacker I was able to lead my team to participate in the IHSA competition for our division for the first time in the last seven year. As an athlete I love to compete and take on challenges, I see every day of practice as a new opportunity to improve my skills so that I can be the best athlete I can be. I lead by example and make it a priority of mine that work hard so that I can be a benefit to my team.
Throughout my four years in High School I played on the Varsity team. I have proven skills in my ability to cover and tackle running backs and tight ends in addition to covering my man or zone. I have a powerful physique with bone girth that allows me to give and take punishment, which given the opportunity, may prove to be a valuable asset in allowing me to be a fit in area that your team needs an ace in the hole. Many have compared me to Mike Singletary when I play, (I actually use as my guide for setting the standard for developing quickness in the position of middle LB); just like him I have innate ability of getting the jump on the blocker, and would have already hit the blocker before the blocker is ready and moved to the ball almost without wasting a step. I was named MVP in freshman and sophomore years and defensive lineman of the year my junior, player of the week senior year - I bench press at 315 and run 4.7 in 40 yard dash, my grade point average 2.9 out of 4.0 and I scored 23 on the ACT, both of which I’m in the process of improving.
I am passion about this game, I love it, I live it, it’s who I am and would like to pursue my skills both as a football player, and a student with a possible major in athletic training and/or physical therapy, possible minor in Psychology.
Do you think I could contribute to your team? I would like to bring that same drive and enthusiast to your program in the fall of 2013 – I love to be a candidate for consideration for your football program.
There is much more to me than this statement or my profile can fit and I can be reached at almost any time of the day I am interested and open to all colleges so please feel free to send me an email at your convenience.
[email protected]; I’m excited to hear from you and cannot wait to talk to you and answer any questions you may have.
Thank you, Daniel Harris
