Zachary Prater '15 Recruiting Profile

     My goal has been to play college football ever since I was a little lineman in PeeWee football. After the first practice I fell in love with football and I decided that football needed me and I need football. Since then I have trained and strived to be the best I can and to become the best player at my position. I have spent many, many hours in the weight room and numerous hours working on hand-eye coordination, speed and footwork. I earned Defensive Player of the Year for 2013, and  I know this is just a small step to where I intend to be and what I plan to achieve in my career as a football player. My plans include playing college football for a team that has a strong foundation and a football family atmosphere.

     Academically I am leaning towards a business degree. I am looking for a school that can offer me the best chance for success after graduation and is committed to seeing their students succeed.  I am 13th in my class and plan to be top ten in my class before the end of this year. I have been on the Honor Roll since 1st grade and I plan to continue to be successful academically. I excel in the classroom, as much as I do on the field. I work hard in class, focus on the teacher, and complete my assignments as they are given to me. I use the skills I learn in school to help me on the field to be my best and be a leader to my teammates.
