My name is Lucas Larson, and I'm a 4 ⭐ Kicker/Punter from Chris Sailer Kicking. I attend Mishawaka High School in Mishawaka Indiana. I am from a family of 3 with 2 brothers. I started kicking back in 8th grade during the pandemic. This is when I found the love I have for kicking. I got a tee for Christmas and two months later in February I went to the closest football field, and just started to kick to see how good I was. Like everyone starting out I struggled, but I started going everyday until Freshman year started with the team. Since then I've practiced, got stronger and better. Not only in football, but in the classrooms at school, and at home in my social life. Freshman/Sophomore year I got lots of playing time with many PAT attempts, and field goals. This year I went 28/30 on PATS, 4/6 on Field Goals, multiple touchbacks, and many 40 yard punts. In the offseason I will strive to get stronger more consistent, and just all around a better person and player.
My hopes and ambitions for football in general is just to be the best at what I do. No matter what I'm doing I want to perfect it. I hope to not only make myself better, but others around me by hyping them up or helping them through the rougher days. More than anything I want to win in all aspects of the game, but I want to do it knowing I'm giving my all. My dream goal is to obviously make it to the college level, and then the NFL, but you can't get there without the hard work, so you can shine on game day. That's where my work ethic, and competitiveness comes into play. I'm always trying to better myself whether it making the last kick a perfect one or going 20/20 on PAT's for that day.I also try my best in school, and get good grades, and a GPA, so I can do what I love to play. I like to help my community out as well when I get the chance. All in all, I love this sport with everything, and give everything I got on and off the field. So far football has taught me how to be a leader, a team player, and how to adapt and overcome adversity in hard times, and I couldn't see my life without this sport.
