I don't remember when I first started loving football, it was just sort of part of my up bringing. My dad never played because his mom never let him, and he wanted me to get chances to be an athlete on the field he never got. Along with that, my Grandpa, John Gaughan, played college football as did several of my uncles I've always looked up to. I wanted to be just like them, and play as well as I could, at the highest level I could. My parents always stressed the importance of my grades as well, which caused me to work as hard as I could in the classroom.
Outside school and football, I'm a track athlete. I'm a sprinter and hurdler at the varsity level, and love running at the meets. I also love biking over to some baseball fields near my house when it's sunny and I go hit balls with my friends. Even though I like doing those things, and others, the thing I love most is football. I'd love to play in college, and I understand I may only be 5'8 150 right now, but I received a varsity letter as a freshman and I can't list how much heart I play with and how hard I hit. I'll also only become bigger, faster, and stronger, so I feel like I could be an asset to any team. Any consideration would be an honor to receive.
