Hello,
My name is Corey Jermaine Boyd, I am a senior at Clay High school. I am looking to pursue my love of Football at the collegiate level while pursuing a degree in Biology which I plan to use to purse my doctorate degree as a physician. I am what some may call a late bloomer as I started my football career in 6th grade and I have been playing the game from that point. I am a 4 year varsity player on the Football and baseball team. I am also a member of our schools bowling team. I have taken honors and advance placement classes all four years, however my school does not use weighted GPA. I am a hard worker and very eager to learn and continue growing. I am fortunate, well blessed to have a very supportive family, which is my rock. They always support me and push me to my very best. My dad has taught me a lot about the game of football being a college athlete at a Division I school. I am truly grateful for all the knowledge he has blessed me with. I am one of the captains of our football team, and I feel that I have an infectious attitude that helps motivate and maintain good spirits for our team that has had a losing season. Despite our record I work hard each week and live for the adrenaline rush I feel every Friday night as I prepare for kickoff. I am a christian and believer in God. I use my faith to help me get through any situation and any problem. I believe my favorite bible verse says it all Philippians 4:13 "I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me". I am ready for the next chapter of my life and I would love to continue playing football during my next phase of life.
