Sigurdur Guarino '22 Recruiting Profile

I´m half American, since I was young I always dreamt of learning and playing football at the highest level  in the states. 

My collegiate goal is to create a great future for myself through a great education while doing what I love, which is playing football. I’ve been an athlete my entire life, always giving it my all no matter what I do which has led to many athletic achievements such as leading my Team handball team to the National title game and being chosen to be apart of Iceland U-21 national Team. My athletic ability, will and drive is what makes me stand out from the rest. I work harder than the people around me to get be better but to also encourage others to strive for greatness. This is why my peers and others that know me consider me as the best football player in Iceland as well as one of the top 2021 recruits from Europe. 

I strive for greatness and success in everything I do, It doesn’t matter if its academics or athletics I always give it my all. I’ve been awarded MVP titles, gotten the best grades out of my graduating class and have no plan to stop. I’m committed to my sports and education to create the best future for myself. I am no stranger to discipline and effort to achieve the goals I want. Through my collage years I hope to better myself as an athlete and student as well as trying to be the best version of myself so I can have a bright future to hopefully one day be in a position where I can affect and change people´s lives.
