My name is Ben Williams. I am a kicker from Cedars Upper School in the United Kingdom having gained my experience from playing rugby and soccer. I am in the class of 2018 and stand 5' 10'' tall and weigh 150lbs. Also, even though i took the SAT a year early i believe 1210 is a good SAT score and i could improve considerably to around the 1400 mark. I want to continue to improve my skills as a player and as a person, and work to the best of my ability to become a better football player. My strongest position is kicker but I am also striving to build a greater punting ability. I bring desire, hard work and the will to succeed.
I am open to many different types of schools ranging from urban to rural and traditional to modern. Academic studies are very important to me. I want to pursue a major in business economics or mathematics, and I am hoping to attend a highly academic college as well as one with a good athletic record.
I want to continue to improve both my athletic capabilities and academic record, and at the same time produce a positive contribution to the college and community, and to be the best I can be.
Evaluation by Coach Steve Walsh, former NFL quarterback at IMG Academy:
Good feet and good quickness. Shows good agility in bags and ladders. Good athlete. Has very good change of direction. Understands lateral transition as it pertains to the kicker position.
Good pop in his leg. Tends to get a little spread out on approach. He needs to stay on top of the ball more. He got much better as the week progressed. Unfortunately. The last days were weather shortened.
Strong work ethic. Ready to get better and accepted coaching. He was a pleasure to have at IMG.
Ben is a talented young kicker. I wish we had better weather to train him more. If there is a chance, we would love to get him back here for our winter holiday camps in Dec. Thank You. |
