RECRUIT MAKES THE MOST OF TOUGH SITUATION TO RISE ABOVE!
Summary:
With the continuance of COVID, uncertain season schedules, and a team that was uncertain if they would play the entire season, I chose to graduate from High School early so that I could make the most of the year by training and working out with a college-recruit training team. During this last 16 months, I have worked out with and trained with / competed against D1 Quarterbacks (UVA and K-State), D1 Trainers (ASU) and players from the Kansas Jayhawk Conference (Butler, Hutchinson) and D1 FCS (University of New Mexico). I think it was the right decision because I have seen my skills and scores explode with the focused full time training that I know could not have happened with a hit or miss high school training schedule and season.
About Me:
Early Graduate Senior in Manhattan, Kansas (Class of 2022). I have a 3.06 GPA (non-weighted). I am 5'11" / Currently 190 and play Wide / Slot Receiver, Defensive End, and Corner Back.
I transferred from California to Kansas my Junior year when my parents moved our family. It was a tough transition where I had to relocate from a starting position on a team that was passing focused (Live Oak High School in Morgan Hill) to a new team and training style at a running only team (we had a number of great players that all had years of seniority in the program with few reps that provided opportunities to catch). But I hustled and worked and found every opportunity to play that I could get as "the new guy from Cali".
Since I arrived in Manhattan, Kansas, home of K-State Football and a large number of college football coaches and players, I have been fortunate to connect with a number of trainers that have helped me aggressively prepare for college-level athletics. I made the hard decision to accelerate my senior year of high school and graduate this last December so that I could spend the bulk of my days focused on preparing for combines, camps, showcases and walk on tryouts. I was blessed to find D1 and JuCo coaches / trainers to help ready myself with the workouts and training that college coaches expect young athletes to receive.
Some of my proudest accomplishments are receiving the MVP Award from my Live Oak coaches for hustle, talent and attitude my last year I was there (Varsity Team). Playing in Frisco, Texas on the National Team as the starting CB/WR and for playing Wider Receiver, Defensive Back and Defensive End for both the JV and Varsity teams last year (Kansas allows Juniors to play both teams) where I was a starting captain and top performer.
I am seeking to find the right fit of top level collegiate competition and academics where I can be challenged to reach my full potential as a young man. I am looking for coaches that want to invest in a player that is hungry to learn and will push me to become better every play. I desire to be part of a team that leaves everything on the field together because it's the only way we know how to play. I look forward to speaking with organizations that match those criteria.
