Personal Statement

As a dedicated student-athlete, my goal is to excel both on the field and in the classroom at the collegiate level. I am a 2026 graduate from Jefferson West High School, standing 6'0" and weighing 270 lbs. I am a utility player for my team that can play many positions but my primary focus is Defensive Lineman. I maintain a 3.91 GPA.

Since my freshman year, I have been a strong leader on my team, earning a varsity starting position early on. For the past two years, I have had the honor of serving as Team Captain, where I have led by example and inspired my teammates to strive for excellence. Additionally, I have been an active participant in our team's brotherhood program, where upperclassmen mentor underclassmen, fostering a supportive and cohesive team environment.

My passion for football drives me to continually improve my skills and understanding of the game. This season, I recorded 80 tackles in just 8 games and led my team in tackles during my freshman year. I have also broken my high school's weightlifting records for both Bench and Squat. I believe my strong work ethic, leadership qualities, and ability to perform under pressure make me a valuable asset to any team. I am committed to pushing myself and my teammates to achieve our highest potential. In addition to football, I am a multi-sport athlete who also excels in wrestling. My experience in wrestling has enhanced my agility, strength, and mental toughness, which I bring to the football field. I am open to the possibility of being a multi-sport collegiate athlete, and I am excited about the opportunities this could provide for my athletic and personal growth.

What sets me apart from other recruits is my balance of academic excellence and athletic abilities. I am not only focused on becoming a better athlete but also on excelling academically. My high GPA reflects my dedication to my studies and my ability to manage my time effectively. Recently, I was inducted into the National Honor Society, where the values of Character, Leadership, Scholarship, and Service are paramount. I hold these values both on and off the field.

Volunteering and helping others are also important aspects of my life. I believe in giving back to my community and making a positive impact wherever I can. Whether through community service projects or mentoring younger athletes, I strive to lead with integrity and compassion.

I am excited about the opportunity to contribute to a collegiate football program that values hard work, discipline, and academic success. I look forward to the challenges and growth that college football will bring, and I am eager to make a positive impact on and off the field.
