As a military kid, I've become adaptable. I was homeschooled most of my life, so every move brought new co-ops and curricula. Moving six times also encouraged me to become resourceful, seeking out the sports and activities available in each new place. Because opportunities differed in some areas, I also learned to be dedicated, refining my skills on the field and in the classroom so I would always be prepared when the chance arose. These skills, and the personal skills I developed because of being in so many new social situations, trained me to be a sacrificial, supportive teammate and player. Most of all, though, I am grateful for every opportunity to play that has crossed my path. I show that gratitude through hard work on and off the field, being respectful of my coaches, and encouraging my teammates.
