Christopher DeGroote '23 Recruiting Profile

I have enjoyed sports throughout my life and in particular love the game of football.  After booting the ball down the soccer field for most of my scholastic career, I decided to apply my big leg to place kicking and go out for the Mount Saint Joseph’s Football Team my junior year. I applied the work ethic, determination, and discipline I learned playing soccer and worked hard with personal coaches Desi Cullen and Danny Sutton to learn the skills and techniques to be a successful kicker.  I earned second-team my junior year and got some great experience and game time.  I continued to work hard in the off-season with my coaches & teammates and started my first team in my senior year at MSJ in 2022. I learned a lot this year about precision and consistency, scored 37 points, gained valuable game time experience, and continued to develop both the mental and physical toughness it takes to compete at the collegiate level.  I’d love the opportunity to play in college and contribute all I have to offer to future winning seasons!
