Richard Williams '16 Recruiting Profile

My goal is to earn a Bachelor's degree and excel academically and also be an asset to my college team.   I realize that having the opportunity to play football on the college level is not an easy feat but I am confident that if given the chance, I will not take it for granted.  Being a student athlete has not only instilled in me discipline and a good work ethic, it also provides an escape from the negativity that plagues my city.  I believe in leading by example, so I will meet or exceed any expectations that are set forth with the hopes that my teammates will strive to do the same.  Team morale plays an important part to the success of a program and I plan to motivate and encourage my teammates to put forth their best effort and work hard.  I look forward to learning as much as I can in the classroom and on the field in the next phaze of my life.  I also want to show my family, coaches and friends that have committed time and resources in helping me devlop over the years that I was worth their investment.
