My name is Brian Kirby, and I am a part of the Class of 2015. Ever since I played in junior league football, on the Olney Bears football team, I have loved every aspect of football: weightlifting, running, agility work, and actually playing the sport. Once I entered high school, I set the goal that I would play college football, preferably at the Division I or Division I AA. I have worked hard in the weight room, as well as the practice field, while at the same time motivating many of my teammates to reach the level of success they desire to have. Not only do I have a deep passion for football, but I am a very successful wrestler. Wrestling has taught me to never quit and to persevere through pain to accomplish my goals. These lessons have transferred over to my football, leading me to become a better player. Finally, I am an excellent student, recording a 4.0 GPA in my sophomore year of high school. I plan on studying business when I enter college, as well as leading my college football team towards many successful seasons.
This past season, I led my team in tackles (119) and tied for the lead for interceptions (3) as only a junior. In the whole county, I was the second leading tackler and tied for fourth for interceptions. I earned second team all county honors, as well as all state honorable mention.
