Alexander Thornton '17 Recruiting Profile

My name is Alexander Nakuru Dia Thornton and I am currently a junior at Howard High School in Elliott City, Maryland.  I plan to attend a college that is right for me and helps me achieve my athletic and educational goals.  For me education is always first.  So, I will keep my grades up no matter what college to attend.  My coaches acknowledged me as one of the hardest workers, because I put the time and energy into exercising, practicing, and watching film.  This type of effort translates into positive results on the field.  For instance, I was named honorable mention to the 2015 All Howard County Defensive Team.

My mom and dad value humility and character more than my athletic achievements.  Every year we volunteer at various charities within our community.  I always respect my teachers, coaches, and peers, and treat everyone the way I would like to be treated.  Even though I am respectful and well mannered, I am aggressive and competitive whenever I step onto the track or football field.

I am looking for a college, program, and coach that is willing to work with me to develop me into a better student, athlete, and man.
