Hello Coach,
My name is Devin Michael Van Cleaf and I attend La Plata High School, where I have averaged a 3.0 GPA through 3 years of high school. In additional to football and school, I participate within my community and local church. As the oldest of four children, I adapt to any environment be it the field, school and everyday life and display responsibility and accountability on and off the field.
I have played sports all my life, and continued with basketball and my favorite football throughout high school. The hard work and dedication towards sports, in particular football, has driven me towards my goals in life which are to be the best I can be. I am a two year varsity starter at my high school; 6’3 255lb offensive lineman and currently bench press 225. I work out four times a week with my head football coach, Roderick Milstead, even though our season is now over. I consider him to be the ultimate roll model; as he not only has had a successful career in the NFL as an offensive lineman, but also is a mentor to all students in my high school. The techniques he has taught, and continues to teach me, I hope to bring forward to a career as a college player. I love the game of football, and hope to continue to play a the collegiate level.
