My name is Myron Austin Jr. and I am a senior at New Town High School in Owings Mills, MD. I attended Mount Saint Joseph High School in Baltimore, MD for my freshman through junior years. I've been playing football since the age of five and I have started on varsity all through my high school career with the exception of junior because I was injured. My goals are to finish high school with a 3.5 GPA, continue to work out during the off season and improve my skills and abilities, further my education and football career on the collegiate level, attain my master's degree in Finance if i choose to go that route, and then enter the workforce in my field and start and a family.
I am a good candidate for a college team because I know how to overcome adversity. When I was injured my junior year and couldn't play I was crushed and it was a very difficult time in my life but I persevered through it all to get back to doing what I love which is playing football. In life we have trials and tribulations but they only make your stronger and wiser.
What makes me different from other recruits in character is that I am driven, hardworking, motivated, and coachable. What makes me different in athletics is that I am versatile, I can play both offense and defense very well. What makes me different in academics is that I strive to earn good grades in all of my classes, even electives, I put for the effort regardless. I've always been an A and B student.
