Dear Coach:
My name is AJ Szymanski. I’m currently attending Loyola Blakefield High School in the class of 2023. I am reaching out to you because I am seeking an opportunity to continue my athletic and academic career at your College/University. I am a 6’5, 245 pound TE/DE and was an integral contributor to the team as the starting TE and DE throughout my junior season. I also played on multiple Special Teams. Throughout the season, I found myself as a natural leader. This being my junior season, I was told by my coaches that I needed to make a difference and I was up for the challenge. I finished off the year with 7 receptions for 87 yards offensively, as well as 70 tackles and 9 sacks defensively. Loyola had a winning record of 9-3 during the 2021 season. We capped off our season defeating a tough opponent in Calvert Hall, the MIAA A Conference Champs, 41-35 in the 101st Turkey Bowl on Thanksgiving. Loyola Football will be competing in the MIAA A Conference in 2022 during my senior year.
My academics are my number one priority. I am focused on my schoolwork and pushing myself academically. I currently hold a 3.4 GPA which will be on the rise after this school year. I am excited to further my education and at this point I am interested in majoring in Engineering or Business Management.
Football may be the biggest focal point of my life, but I also invest my time with my local church, Church of the Nativity, as an altar boy and operations manager. God is a very important piece in my life and by serving and giving time to the community I feel closer to him. In the spring I play baseball for Loyola as a left handed pitcher, first baseman and outfielder.
Please let me know when you are available to talk about my next steps.
AJ Szymanski
