It is not easy being the biggest kid in school. I have been made fun of, harassed, and even bullied for my size. Even though this happened, I was able to block it out, rise above it, and make myself the player I am today. I developed a new mindset. The people who got me down on myself only made it better for me, because I took that negativity and used it to work harder in the gym and on the field. I found that the reason why I am a football player is because I love the sport and it is one place size is an advantage. Football is a place where you work hard and are rewarded for your determination. I would do anything to play football; it is a place I feel free and am able to be myself. I have been working harder and harder on and off season, because I have the goal of competing at the highest level and being able to be relied on. I am working hard for my dream.
Another reason I would be a great addition to your team is the dedication I have to school. I am a dedicated learner, challenging myself academically with honors and AP classes. I am not afraid to talk with my classmates and to work together, just as I do on the field. I help others that need it or get help myself. I take the lessons I learn in school like communication, collaboration, and problem solving to better my play on the field. These lessons also effect the way I treat others, with kindness and support. On the field, I lead by example, pushing my teammates as hard as I push myself, beyond what they believe they can do, and make them work their hearts out. If you are looking for a student athlete and leader that is dedicated to the football team, then you want me as part of your team.
