Football is my sanctuary, football is my life, I love playing it because it is challenging but at the same time by working through those challenges I have attained much success on the field. Above all else, my goal is to become a college football athlete.
In terms of football, I am going to be a great defensive end in all facets of the position but my speed and athleticism will separate me from my peers as an elite pass rusher. One of my greatest strengths is my motor--my goal is to be 1-0 on every play. I want to make plays by always doing my job.
Academically, I have worked extremely hard to maintain a 3.75 GPA and honor roll every quarter. Whether it was doing homework in the locker room before practice or staying up late at night to finish a project, I have always put academics first.
Outside of football and school I have participated in a number of clubs that I feel define my character. Since 7th grade I have been volunteering in the Best Buddies program for kids with intellectual disabilities. It is important that everybody has a friend and sometimes just being there, makes their day. Starting in 9th grade, I have volunteered for the Special Olympics every year, and this past summer I was a tennis instructor for both regular and adaptive lessons. Working with children with Autism was challenging but ultimately very rewarding. I have also been part of the Peer Leaders Drug Prevention Program, and I feel really strongly that drugs and alcohol are extremely dangerous to our society. I hope that I can at least save one person from the risks involved in those activities. I am also a member of the National Honor Society.
