In this world there is one sport that ranks above them all. This sport brings out the true nature of a man, it will test his will to fight and overcome any adversity presented in front of him. This sport is football. I have been playing football since I was eight years old. I fell in love with the game from the first day I walked onto the field with my helmet on and chin strapped. Starting off as a lineman with minimal skill and just learning the game, I worked my way up over the years playing pop warner football in my small town. I played almost every position on the field. Although I was never really that stand out player or “the playmaker”, I still loved the game and was more than happy to just be playing. I worked my way up the ranks until freshman year of high school. It seemed like everything had now clicked for me; I matured, got taller, became stronger it seemed as I grew into the athletic potential that was buried inside me. I started at quarterback and gained the thrill for scoring and making plays. As a QB I learned almost all of the offensive positions being the offensive leader. However I feel my real calling was in the backfield. I used my knowledge of Quarterback to better myself as a new found Running Back. Having been a QB, it helped my mesh points with my QB and timing greatly. Football is everything to me and I have taken in from so many past and present players of the game that academics is so important, which is why I know that now as a Senior in high school there is nothing more important than doing the best I possibly can, not only on the field but more importantly in the class room. Many adults and peers would say I am both a respected athlete and individual. Having a strong passion for family values and the life lessons my parents and family members have taught me. This allows me to be the best person I can be at all times and I strive to be the best I can be both on and off the field.
